Yup they did send me that e-mail... However I am not intending to give a positive following to it... I mean for me Chicago is at the same level as Columbia and I am still waiting for NYU and Harvard... So I will try and deal with it although it is a pitty....

As far I know, Columbia has accepted 6 chilean students so far... Some with amazing records, others with good records (something more "normal" I mean, but still very good).

Also, I heard that other chilean students had received a rejection letter, but I don't know the records of them.

So, it is clear that we must wait for the response of Columbia, and the fact of haven't received anything yet doesn't mean nothing (I beleive)

No it doesn't because some people get their results earlier for no rhyme of reason- if their objective is to get the best students- they shd ideally review each of them- compare and contrast and then make a final call.

hehe, been checking mine every 10 minutes for the last 2 hours,... and I should be working on my thesis... I guess I should blame Columbia if I dont get it finished in time :)
