Thank you for your interest in Columbia Law Schools LL.M. Program. After careful consideration of your Early Review application, the admissions committee has determined that we are unable to make a decision on your LL.M. application at this time. This years Early Review applicant pool was the largest (an increase of more than 45% over last year) and among the most highly qualified in the history of the program. Thus, competition for early admission was exceptionally keen. We anticipate that altogether nearly 1,650 candidates will apply for the approximately 220 places in our LL.M. Class of 2010.

While we are unable to give you a decision at this time, in recognition of your strong academic and professional credentials we have deferred your application to the regular admission cycle to be reconsidered with the full applicant pool. We hope to make most admission decisions by April, and appreciate your understanding and patience as we continue to review files. We will let you know as soon as we have made a final decision on your application. In the meantime, we send you our best wishes for a very happy new year.

Sincerely,

NYU has about 300-350 spaces potentially for internationals. The rest are for American tax LLM's. Also there are Americans who are taking other LLM programs so it could be as low as 300. Out of these it also divides into concentrations so you can expect 80-100 for those interested in international law, 80-100 for those interested in corporation law etc.

Yes. It was this, I was accepted to Columbia and due to personal reasons I chose to live in NYC. But I really think that Gulc is a wonderful university.
