Hello there!
I'd be especially interested in hearing from former/current LLM students or applicants who are deciding between these two schools. I lack time to visit the two schools before making my decision and have little time to research since I am in the middle of JD finals myself.

I have heard that both have highly esteemed programs. I'm a US LLM student who is particularly interested in the linkage between international trade, economic development and human rights. I thikn my dream job might be to work for the WTO, EU or as hired counsel for other countries in int'l arb. I have a particular interest in Latin America and Europe. A long-range goal is to teach PIL as a professor. Hence, I am considering a JSD.

Qs:
- Are LLMs terminan in both schools? or is there an option of leading into a JSD?
- How difficult is it to get into JSD program after LLM?
- Are professors accessible and do they give personalized attention to LLM students?
- How are internship prospects during school? For credit?
- What are the contacts in NYC, nationally, in Europe or in LA? Also EU, WTO contacts? (I'm thinking job prospects, who comes interviewing on campus, contacts, etc.)
- What are either programs job prospects for US grads?
- What is difficulty in getting into the popular courses?
- NYU's program is 2x as large (400 LLMs). Does this mean that professors are less accessible on an individual basis? Do you feel more like a number? OR is a larger program translated into more networking opportunities?
- What do folks know about professors?
- How are similar candidates making their decision?

Thanks in advance for your input!
