Has anyone received financial aid/scholarship/fellowship (any money! lol) from Columbia? If so, how much?
Trying to figure out if there is really any possibility of financial aid in that area.
Thanks

Has anyone who requested an expedited decision received a response? Either admitted, waitlisted or rejected??
I had requested an expedited decision on 4th March. Still waiting for a response
What was the deadline of the other school which you quoted?
15th March and 1st April

What did you do about your March 15 deadline? Did you decide to reserve a seat in any of your other options, just in case?

Yesterday I sent the online form to request an expedited financial aid decision. I have 4 deadlines next week (between March 30 and April 1), but it seems a lot of people are in the same situation, and haven't heard back from Columbia...
Has anyone had any news regarding the online request? Has anyone additionally sent an email, and did they wrote back to you?

Are we seeing a trend here? All those who apply only for expedited admissions decisions get a decision soon. However when along with that you ask for a financial aid decision too they have not yet replied?

Hi! Has anyone e-mailed or is planning to write to CLS for extension of the deposit deadline (because of the COVID-19 situation?)
Hello! I wrote to GLS today. I did not ask about a deadline extension specifically, rather their general plans regarding the COVID-19 situation.
They told me that, at the moment at least, we should continue with our plans for August as normal and that they are planning for normal operations in the 2020-2021 academic year.

I wrote them today asking for expedited financial aid decision. I'll let you know as soon as I receive an answer.
Anyway, I suppose that it's easier for them to decide quickly whether someone gets in than if someone should receive any financial aid.

I got admitted but didn't fill out the financial aid form in my application. Does that mean I am not eligible for financial aid at all?

Hi, has anyone had news regarding fellowships, scholarships or financial aid?
Anyone here who has already been awarded the Appel or Human Rights fellowship, or the Baker Mckenzie scholarship? Any info would be useful, thanks!

I got admitted but didn't fill out the financial aid form in my application. Does that mean I am not eligible for financial aid at all?
Hi I am on the same boat. Understanding that requesting the financial aid in that form would minimize my chances in getting admitted brought me to did not fill the form. However, I am waiting any response or any idea whether requesting a financial aid after got admitted is quite reasonable (even after paying the first deposit). Need your advise guys :)

Why would it minimize your chances of admission? I thought they only consider financial aid after the admission process.

Hi @larrysheld and @AnakBarel - congrats! I’m afraid it’s highly unlikely, the advice on the fin aid form and on the website is as follows: “Only admitted applicants who submit a completed application for financial assistance with their application for admission to the LL.M. Program by the application deadline will be considered for financial aid. Therefore, all applicants who think they may need financial assistance should complete the financial aid application.” https://www.law.columbia.edu/admissions/graduate-legal-studies/llm-program/financial-assistance-fellowships-and-loans
But other forms of financial aid may be available, depending where you’re from! Best of luck
@LLMEL: hey! No news re the HR Fellowship or other fin aid yet… am super curious if anyone’s heard yet! Still holding out hope…
