Hi. I got an offer today. I had applied close to the deadline. The financial aid application is pending though.

I heard back a couple of days ago and got an offer. Applied on the last day of the deadline - but no financial aid (my fault for not applying for it).

I have not received a reply yet. I hope this means they have not yet reviewed my application. However I must note two people who attended the same school as me received their acceptance emails at the same time, so I wonder if they review applications by region or country or it is just random.

If I may ask, what country are you from?

I am from Lebanon - two friends got accepted from there.

I was rejected last night (had applied for early review and been deferred to regular review). Congrats to those admitted and good luck to those waiting!

I received an acceptance a few days back. The mail clearly said that no financial aid will be granted. But was silent with respect to the Human Rights Fellowship, for which I'd also applied. I have written to Columbia to ask about it, but have not received a reply.

Has anyone received a Fellowship? Or does anyone know whether they go about it at a later date? It's important because without the Fellowship, Columbia is too expensive.

Hey Prairie - congrats! Not sure if it's still the same, but when I got accepted in 2017, they also told me I got no fin aid and this was later clarified to include not getting the HR Fellowship - hence me giving up my space... I really hope it's changed though! Best of luck with funding!

srs594 - I was an ER applicant, got deferred and still no answer. I know I'm being bitter but each time I see that someone who applied on or just before the deadline got a response I feel betrayed by the ER system... I think a few deferred ER applicants have been accepted though.

Thanks TSB. I was deferred to the regular cycle and haven't heard back yet either. I feel quite bitter too. I think the way Harvard does it - releasing all decisions at the same time - is much better than this rolling admissions system. I can't help but feel like we were tricked into applying early without any benefits.

ok this is ironic considering my earlier post - just got accepted! fin aid decision pending, they said it's likely in early April. Good luck all!

I also got recommended by the school to register for the business law LLM.. (I did not reply to this recommendation email)
I have not received further decision regarding may current application... Hope this does not indicate that they already decided not to pick me..

Same here, save for that I responded that I did not want to be considered for the program. In their response (and on my request) they confirmed that my original application would be considered in the normal course and then I was admitted 10 days later. Accordingly, I would not worry - I think that they sent out the email to all those applicants that had more than 2/3 years' work experience and showed some interest in business law.
