i am currently an LLM at Columbia. i happened to meet with GLS dean and she said she was busy with the applications and she will be busy "for the next couple of months". what i am trying to ay is that you should wait and be patient. some cceptances may come as lte as May. good luck

Thanks for the info, zipo.
It kills me to think that I'll probably have to be kept in suspense for 2-3 more months though.

The anxiety is just too much! May seems so far away. I will keep my fingers crossed for myself and all of you!

More than anxiety, the thing is that if that's the case, most of us would already be enrolled somewhere else...

That´s right. For instance, NYU releases admission decisions next week, and Harvard within a couple of weeks... In respect of universities that have already done it, I guess all of them will require some confirmation from our side as from early April (at least UMich and Georgetown will do so). I think Columbia is a great option no matter how long they take to make up their minds, but I´d dare to say that the best candidates may go somewhere else... what´s bad for all (specially for them).

isn't that also possible to enroll for another school and get in columbia after their decision ???

Exactly...I have till April 3 to confirm Georgetown's offer...currently waiting for NYU (around March 15), CLS and HLS (around March 20 something...
(Deeply hoping to hear from CLS before the month ends...)

last year we had until May 15th to confirm whether we accept offers or not. then it was then that people on the waiting list were told whether they got in or not. i got my offer in February but i know of some people who got their offers as late as April. Columbia sends out acceptance offers on a 'rolling bases'. thus they do not really have a specific time as to when the acceptance letters would be sent out. keep up the hope, and yes getting in at Columbia is a long shot BUT its not impossible.

After a long period of time waiting, I received a rejection e-mail from GLS earlier today. It makes me so depressed. But just let you guys know you still have chances. Gook luck!

We're in the same boat. It's so nice to know you're not alone and that someone else also shares the same misfortune.

I was informed today that I would not be offered an Associate-in-Law position, but that they are still considering my application for the LLM admission.
Hopefully, I have a decent shot at general admission as I understand that associateship decisions were only recently made (offers went out this past week). I figured I had least an outside chance at an associateship given that I've already taught legal research and writing courses, and have several publications.
Ah well, I guess I'll see.

I received the email of admission notice from Columbia today!! They declined my application for financial assistance in the same email though. I'm from Taiwan. Anyone also from Taiwan considering going to Columbia?
