They will not give me any financial aid. I am doing numbers now because I really want to go! I am from Argentina, where are you from?

I am still deciding between Columbia and NYU... This is harder than I thought.

For those who have chosen Columbia: will you apply to housing offered by Columbia, or do you plan to live outside Columbia neighborhood?

Desperate, I know you're facing a hard choice. NYU is in the coolest neighborhood in Manhattan, but all US lawyers I have talked with agree in saying that Columbia is Columbia! Anyhow, I'm surely going to live somewhere more downtown... I know NYC by heart and I want to be half way between school and life... upper westside or chealsy should do... anywhere close to the 1-2-3-9- line (red line)... come to columbia... ;)

anyone going to the 4-week IUSLAW (iuslaw.org) orientation program in Washington for foreign lawyers starting LL.Ms in the U.S.? It is supposed to be quite useful academically and an excellent time in D.C. according to my friend who participated last year.
