I've also confirmed my place at Chicago. After nervous-wrecking waiting and much, much fretting, the final result is as follows:

(a) accepted at Georgetown, USC, Northwestern, UPenn, Virginia, Cornell, Michigan, UCLA, KU Leuven (Belgium) NYU and Chicago;
(b) waitlisted at Duke (??)
(c) rejected by Harvard
(d) withdrew application to Columbia without knowing the final result (they were very disrespectful with applicants who sent applications very early, like me).

So, that's a wrap! After so long a period of preparation, happiness and frustration, it has come to an end. I will certainly look back at this time with a smile in my lips.
I thank everyone in this board for being very helpful: I've learned so much from this virtual experience.
Best wishes to all of you!

I am impressed by the high number of applications you did. I know the time, energy and cost it takes for one application. I would not have been able to do as many as you did.

Apparently, Columbia does not take into account the time they received applications?! Personaly, I still do not have an answer from them. But in my case, I am not surprised because I waited the last moment to send my application to them.
I wish you good luck at Chicago!

that's indeed a lot of applications! :-)

but all of them resemble, so it shouldnt be too hard...

btw: ih had a really interesting conversation with 2 lawyers who took the LL.M. program in 2004-2005, and they were really positivi about the law faculty! definitely a good choice!

I am also in Chicago. I believe U of Chicago LL.M. program is truly prestigious and outstanding among all other top schools. Small but united, I expect that the school, the amazing faculty members will provide us a great opportunity to learn US laws. Let's make this great school even greater than before.

personaly i do not under stand what it would take to even do that many but i guess it does have an advantage at getting accepted in more than one place and have the oppertunity to choose were you want to go but i do not have the privlige to do that unless i won a scholership to every place andthan be able to choose into which one i want to but i hope you have a fun time at which ever one you choose to go to.

Hey guys - I've also decided to go to Chicago in September! As for living, I found a flat in walking distance from the Law School which is not university-owned and I'm really happy with it.

See you in September!

PS: how many of you are going to attend the prep course?

Hi,
I also got accepted to the UChicago, but I asked for an extension because I don't know if I really want to go there or reapply next year to Harvard. If I choose to come this year to UChicago, I know I will always regret my choice thinking that maybe I should try one more time for HLS. But I am hesitating because there are both top law schools and about at the same ranking positions. And there are people who say that UChicago is even better as a law school.
