I think last year they received the decisions before the final email. However, this year might be different.

oh I see, last year people heard back around Feb 6. I hope that happens again this year, especially as less people applied. It'll be the first school I'll hear back from so far

I know it's so soon! But I'm not expecting it to come out today, as the last email came only two working days ago and I think it'll take them a bit longer to finalise

The trend seems to be that they beat the deadline they share by at least a couple of days.. Richard wrote in the mail as well that the emails may reach us earlier, only that he didn't want to promise that.. Yes.. I'm letting the excitement get the better of me =D
Which all schools have you applied to? Have you decided the order of your preferences yet, if you're faced with the pleasant dilemma of choosing between schools?

Yeah I think I'll be madly refreshing my email on the 10th and 11th haha. Chicago has such a small class size I dont know what to expect really, but it'd definitely be one of my top choices if I did get in. I haven't heard from anywhere else yet (NYU, Columbia, Berkeley etc)

Haha.. That'd make two of us (at least).. Indeed, a very small intake & thus I'm not very optimistic but it is the first school I'll be hearing from as well..
I hear Chicago decisions can be unorthodox where those accepted at YHS sometimes don't make the cut.. Not sure if that is the case..

I think we might hear from them tomorrow or on Thursday. As you said they sometimes release decisions earlier.
