Chances to get into NYU/CLS/HLS

Hi, I personally don't think the class ranking is so important. I was not within top 3 of a ~ 80 students class (but close) and still got admitted everywhere but at YLS. I think most important are the texts you write and the recommendations. Put as much effort as possible into these two challenges and you'll win.

Hi!
Can someone please clarify whether 2 LORs for HLS should be okay (that's the minimum) - or will it be disadvantageous, given that HLS recognises, and is infact correct, that almost all applicants submit 3!
Anyone particularly with personal experience on this one?
Thanks.

Yes - 2 LoRs are enough. I sent 2 only and I got into harvard 2 years ago. Better have 2 very good ones than one additional random LoR of some person who barely knows you and writes average or impersonal stuff.
Also, please do not listen to the nonsense some people talk about admissions to harvard or any other top law school here. The CV of the person that started the thread is superb and by far not the "minimum" that you need for harvard. I must know because mine is far "worse". Admissions officers don't sit there with a checklist looking for highest class rank, superb internship, x number of articles... they want to see - from the overall package - that you are an interesting person who will likely be successful and make an impact in the future in whatever area. there is not a single person here - and I met every LLM in my year - who has a "perfect CV". But there's also not a single person who is plainly boring. Good Luck.

Thanks a ton @mra337 - good to know from someone who actually got into HLS with exact 2 LORs.
Cheers.

Why not ask this student from the current class to post general information about the admissions process: http://hlsllm.tumblr.com/

Does anyone have a tumblr account? I don't know how to contact this blogger.
