Hi, does anyone have any idea about career services provided in the above-named law schools, post LLM. Have there been cases of foreign students receiving employment in the US inspite of having come on a student visa? Do companies go to the extent of changing the visa status of foreign LLM students to offer them employment? Thnx!

Stanford Law School has a career adviser specifically in charge of the advanced degree students' class (i.e. 37 persons). I m sure this adviser can give advice occasionally as needed after we graduate.
visa questions are for the international students/immigration department.
yes, it happens that students get hired first on their student visa (Practical Training Period allowed for the length of the program immediately after), which is converted into a proper worker visa later on.

advanced degree students' class = 3 programs
- SPILS/JSM (LL.M. equivalent, incl., on top of "regular LLM classes", an empirical research thesis of about 80p to write, which can be followed the next year by a JSD = doctoral studies) (13 pers. this year)
- LLM in IP law (10 pers.)
- LLM in Corporate Governance (14 pers.)
JD are for sure graduate students as well, but we do not call them advanced degree students.
Hope that helps to understand the categories.
