Best path to work in US law firm

I am student from the UK and am about to start my LLB degree in London.When i have finished this i will probably go on to do the LLM course and take the NY bar exam. My ultimate goal is to work for a law firm in the US.
If anyone has got any information on job prospects for foreign lawyers in the states, please comment!
