Hi: Could I know what the best LLMs are in the job market? I mean those that are the most regarded by law firms? Corporate ones?
Also, in general, would you rather go for a Corporate firm, banking, tax, ...? Thanks!
Best LLMs for job market?

I would say the answer is probably based on two perspectives:
1. Within the American market, the employers probably have good knowledge of each faculty's advantages and specific areas of interest and are therefore not limited to the top ranked Universities. Employers should be able to recognize a good LL.M. Program and not only a brand behind the LL.M. (But I'm from Europe so this is basically a guess).
2. For specific European or foreign (non US) countries, the best LL.M. are obviously the ones from the most famous universities. In these cases, employers are basically interested in the brand or name behind the LL.M. Harvard, Stanford, Yale, etc
Regards

In the current market conditions, in which the only real effective way to find a job in the US is through networking, consider that studying in NYC gives you an indisputable advantage.
The opportunities will be much much greater.
To give you an idea of the Italian LL.M.s that graduated this year (i.e., '09) only those attending CLS were able to find a job. Here the numbers:
The 5 at HLS: zero offers
The 2 at YLS: zero offers
The 1 at SLS: zero offers
The 6 at CLS: 3 offers.
This was also partially due to the fact that Columbia LL.M.s tend to have a greater working experience, which is a very important factor in the current job market.
BTW YLS, HLS, SLS and CLS are very good brand to sell but they might not be enough alone nowadays. Networking and connections are the real crucial factors.
Cheers

LLM in International Foreclosures
LLM in Financial Instability
LLM in Unemployment Benefits
LLM in the Law of Mass Layoffs
LLM in should have been a Medical Doctor
LLM in what F(^# Happened Around Me?
LLM in "Networking and Connections are the Real Crucial Factors", may i suggest a concentration in "GET REAL".
Let me know if you need a few other suggestions, or better yet, ask any of the tons of top ten school J.D.s who have found it impossible to land a job in the US over the past two years, they probably will now better how a foreign degree holder can land a job in the US (do i sense a bit of sarcasm in my own post?!??!....hmmm....)
