Best Law School for LLM in International Tax

Avdhesh

Hi Everyone,

I got through Boston, Northwestern and Florida in their respective tax program ( all without scholarships). Which is the best option from a job perspective?

Thanks for replying,

Hi,

From what I know, Florida has a great reputation in the US for its tax program. It is less known in Europe for example, where I would choose Northwestern as it is slightly more famous here. So it really depends on what you want to do after the llm.

Congratulations on the offers btw!

It would make perfect sense, if you rely on rankings at all (and don't we all do?). Also, I heard that overall, UF is less expensive (tuition and living expenses) than the other two (I might be wrong) so if that's the case and you don't have a specific desire to live in Chicago or Boston, then I would not hesitate. Florida has the second best tax program in the US.

Hope this helps a bit in the decision making process!

Hi,

Just based on the ranking you have 1/ NYU 2/ Georgetown 3/ Florida 4/ Northwestern

I am in Northwestern and I can tell than professionals don't really care from which one you come from. The level is quite the same, you get good basis from very good professors.

I also talked with some students from the 3 others univ and we have quite the same program, same events etc.
