no more news? is the process done?

I have been in touch with Berkeley, and sadly, it appears that the class is full, although further changes are still possible since the process is not yet closed.

Depending on the first day of class, there might not be enough time to get your student visa processed. It can take up to a month (sometimes more) for the schools to process your I-20. So if you don't have your acceptance letter soon it might almost be too late to get a student visa and start school.

classes start in the last week of August! what do you think?

Will depend on how slow the US consulate in your home country. In my country there was a minimum wait of at least 2 weeks after I pay the visa BEFORE I even can try and schedule the interview for the student visa.

Maybe your country will be better. Of course this assumes there are no issues or things you need to clarify with the school issuing the visa. In other words all your financial documents need to be in order.

I guess the problem is with the university. I am not sure if they are going to send more offers considering that we are already in June. Are you in touch with berkeley admissions?
