probably many people. from what I see when I google the waitlist progress from 2014, final notification was sent in August.

wow! what about the visa procedure?

from what I saw, CA residents appear to have been given preference in the final selections because they could change plans quickly. also, apparently the additional admissions were only granted to first percentile. so, not so great.
