Berkeley Traditional Track 2022/2023

Van 2022

No, CalCentral is a different portal. Once you're admitted to Berkeley you will get login details to set up an account here and all further correspondence happens through this account. You'll use CalCentral for the entire year, for fee payments, course selection etc. So basically, it's their University portal where everyone has an account!

You can check it out here- https://calcentral.berkeley.edu/

Got it. Always thanks, Sherlocked!!

Greetings, friendsI just now discovered a note of congratulations for admission to the LLM Traditional Track in my Cal Central portal! So, it looks like I'm in!

I encourage you to check your portal for any new information. Btw, I am a U.S. attorney.
NOTE: I will be on vacation now until early next week, by which time I assume we shall all receive official notice of our status at Berkeley Law. I will not be available to respond to any queries. But I just wanted to give you a heads up as to where to look for this information.
I hope it's been helpful. I wish all of you the very best of luck!

What is the Cal Central Portal? You mean "Check Applicant Status" on the Berkeley's website?

are you saying you got an admissions email? As the CalNet portal requires you to have an ID. How did you find your ID, if you don’t mind me asking.
I am told the ID number reflects on LSAC tracker. Is that accurate?

@sw13, Perhaps Glenmore22 already got admitted to executive llm program.

So, the die is thrown. Good luck to everyone!

Hey guys!

According to last year's thread, on Feb 28, 2021, the Student ID suddenly appeared in the status tracker at Berkeley's portal. With the Student ID, they could create a CalCentral ID and see the admission letter before receiving the official offer by email.

Berkeley's portal takes a little while to update, so I think the admitted students may have access to the Student ID anytime soon. They say the Student ID appears in between LSAC number and Citizenship. Mine remains unchanged.
Hoping the best for everyone!!

Right, what Mariana said is what happens every year at UCB. You should have the Student ID through which you can log into CalCentral (usually late on 28 Feb). A little while later your status tracker will also be updated with "congratulations, bla bla" before you finally get the admission letter late on March 1.

You will also get a scholarship/no-scholarship email along with it on March 1 or 2 probably and you can submit the Matching scholarship request form through CalCentral till a couple of weeks later.

Good luck! :)

Greetings again,

I'm sneaking in this final note before my wife kills me for emailing while on vacation. Lol. But I see there's some confusion that I must clear up so folks won't panic, thinking that you didn't get in at Berkeley Law.

Here's what you need to know. As someone else hypothesized, yes, I have a CalNet acct ONLY BECAUSE I WAS ADMITTED TO THE EXECUTIVE TRACT MONTHS AGO. Most applicants will not have this access yet.

I am now admitted to both the Executive Track and the Traditional Track. I must decide by March 15 on the Exec Track and by April 1 on the Traditional Track. Any scholarship offer will come via email following the admission letter this coming week.

So, there, RELAX EVERYONE. The fact that you do not yet have a CalCentral acct is completely IRRELEVANT at this juncture. Many of you, I hope, will receive good news from Berkeley this coming week.

I shared my good news only with the desire to help everyone find out a little early what their status is. The bottom line, just wait a little longer and we all will hear officially from Berkeley Law within a few days.

Thanks Sherlocked for jumping in with good intel for the group. And special thanks to those of you who extended congrats to me. So many folks think only of their own self-interests and neglect to express joy for someone else's success.

I sincerely hope that EVERYONE here will receive happy news soon, whether from Berkeley Law or somewhere else. Be safe all.

Can someone help me - so i kept getting a notification from Berkeley that my application is incomplete, and I went on to their portal, the English test requirement is not fulfiled. I had emailed them earlier asking for a way around this (i did not want to pay LSAC more for having IDP-IELTS forward my results - this whole admissions structure seems like an elaborate scam from a global south practitioner's perspective) but they haven't replied. Does this mean they haven't evaluated my application yet and won't until i send the English test results through IDP/LSAC?

Correct. While the whole LSAC scheme is a bit expensive, one has to abide by it. Had Berkeley provided any other way to you to provide them with the results, you could've used that. However, seeing that there isn't any other way but through LSAC, you'll have to follow that only. Regardless, I'd suggest you to call the Uni (given that they didn't respond to your mail) and get things clarified.

Thanks a lot for the valuable information!

Does anybody find your student ID, or School Tracking No, on your status tracker?

I don't even find the line between LSAC Acct No and Citizenship, though.  And I can't remember if there was a blank line for the School Tracking No (a line without actual nunber) or there never has been.
In the last year's thread, those who were unfortunaltelly rejected said that there once had been a blank line and it finally disappeared just around the day of the dicision.

Fingers crossed for everyone here!

I think there are lots of signals for US law schools admission, which make us extremely exhausted and tired. 1f623

What time do you guys suppose to be informed about such kind of signal (showing student tracking number or just blank) on our checking status web page? According to the last year's thread, the person who got the change posted his note at 09:15 on 28th Feb. However, I am not sure the exact time because of the time difference. Does anyone have idea?

I signed in to CalCentral using my old credentials (I studied at Berkeley as an exchange student a while ago) and saw an admission notice! This is what it looks like: https://prnt.sc/Dy1lsDg7DsWG.

Can't take too long anymore, good luck to everyone who applied!

Yes I’m admitted. I was able to sign in on CalCentral using my old credentials (I studied at Berkeley as an exchange student).

Tried to add a screenshot here but apparently LLM Guide reviews posts that contain external links before publishing them.

Hey guys,

Although I've been admitted because I could see it via my CalCentral, my intel is that the official decisions will be emailed tomorrow, March 1. Again, good luck everyone!
