To anyone on the waitlist, I just declined my offer from Berkeley. So, good luck!

To the admitted students: have you noticed that when connecting to CalCentral, the deadline for accepting admission offer is set to "Due May 1"? I was accepted on March 1st and the original deadline was April 1st, but it seems that it has been moved without any emails from the Advanced Degree Programs Office (at least not on my end).

Yes it has been moved because of Covid-19, they sent an email a week ago.

Thank you for clarifying this! I looked everywhere in my inbox and couldn't find that email. It makes a lot of sense anyway.

Hi guys, has anyone in waitlist been offered admission so far? I know in previous years, Berkeley will offer the people in waitlist admission since April, but this year, the deadline of submitting deposit was postponed to May. I am not sure whether this delay will influence people in the waitlist.

Hi guys, do you know if it is typical that my application is still under review currently? I assume most of the decisions should have been rendered at this point, but I did not receive any results, not even rejection or waitlist. My status page only says my application is under review. Does anyone know anything about that? Thanks!

I am in the same boat :(
Does Berkeley just send out all the rejection emails at the end of April?
That'd be pretty mean.

Hello! @all admitted students — how are you guys managing the finances without any scholarships from Berkeley? I’m just curious, given that the tuition is almost $68k and Berkeley gives only three scholarships in all and a few matching considerations. In the era when job market will suffer deeply thanks to the pandemic, we cannot even reasonably expect to land jobs. In this case how are you guys going to manage the money? Loan? External scholarships?
