I have decided to enroll into Berkeley this year, and will turn down other offers. Do any guy will definitely go to Berkeley this year? I am considering living on-campus. Would anyone give me some comments on International Student House (I-House) or Manville Apartment?

I will be attending and rejected other offers as well! I am very excited to be out at Boalt Hall next year...I will be living in family housing and do not know much about the other housing issues there...sorry.
Look forward to meeting you this summer.

The same here... I will attend Boalt Hall and stay in family house.
Since I was a teenager I have dreamed about going to UC Berkeley. The dream came true and Im so excited!
I apologize not being able to help with housing information. All I can say is that I visited the campus once, and that my recollection tells that the International Student House is pretty close to Boalt Hall (almost next door).

Hi April,
Although I am disappointed that you wioll not attending my alma mater, Texas at Austin, I certainly understand you decision to enroll at Boalt, which is a great school. I live in California and love the San Francisco bay area. Where are you from?

Yes! I am so excited about going to stay in San Francisco, which is sure a great place around with several national parks, outlets and different kinds of cuisines. I come from Taiwan, and I am now planning to attend summer session beginning in July 3. Where do you guys come from? Can't wait to meet my classmates!

April:
I will heading to to Berkeley LLM program from the flatlands of Oklahoma. I was looking at the Manville appartments. However I note that they are unfurnished. Buying furniture for only 9-10 months use seems rather wasteful, and shipping it back to Oklahoma afterwards impractical. Maybe a furnished option is better.

Dear Martin:
I did not notice on that. Thanks for your mention. But why I hesitate is becuase the room in Manville Apartment is a suite with bathroom and kitchen, while I-House is a little bit expensive than Manville and only has shared bathroom and kitchen. So are you going to live off-campus?

IDA Louise Jackson Graduate House also looks great. But sorry I also have no clue about these two. If Boalt Hall sends us contact information of current LLM students later, maybe we could ask them for further information.

Hello, classmates-to-be!
After receiving my Student ID and PIN# by fax and following the instructions of the yesterdays e-mail from UC Berkeley (successfully changing my passphrase), I have tried to access https://calmail.berkeley.edu:10100/ to create an @berkeley.edu e-mail and, thus, see if I got any Fin Aid. However, an "Access denied" message is appearing.
Do you have any suggestion for me to efficiently create an e-mail account?
I'm looking forward to meet you in August!
With thanks

The problem was solved, but I still don't have an answer for my Fin Aid application.
Have some of you heard about it?
Cheers

April:
I have decided to try for the Manville appartments. Apparantly thet is a desk and possibly a chair provided, so I will probably just try to buy a futon when I get to Berkeley. I notice that the LL.m orientation is on August 11th, but classes don't start for almost two weeks, so I assume there will be some time to get something to sleep on.

June: I got mine set up by going to https://calmail.berkeley.edu:10100/
and clicking on the "email" link, top left of the page, under "set up your account" However, I believe when I got my passphrase, it said it would take up to 24 hrs for the system to recogize it, and I might not be able to set up e-mail until then. Have you tried again since then?
Even after I got in to the system, there was no finanial aid information available........

I am afraid they are not so efficient....After I set up my e-mail account, it took at least three days for them to update the information on my student bear facts....
So what is the next step we should do? Waiting for the material package?

Dear future classmates!
Considering that we all have our @calmail.Berkeley.edu e-mail by now, Id suggest exchanging it so we can keep ourselves updated regarding to the next steps to be taken.
Send me a PM with your e-mail and Ill make a list.
Looking forward

Hi All:
I'm interested in applying to the LLM program at Boalt Hall for 2007. I was wondering whether any of you would know the avg # of students admitted to the program, and what the JD/LLB GPA range of the students would be.
Thanks.

Hi all;
Since a number of you on this thread made it through to Berkeley this year, I was wondering if any one of you could be so kind as to help me and others like me.
I want to know: whether for persuing an LLM at Univ of California, Berkeley (Boalt Hall) next Fall (2007) a Recommendation Form (signed by the Recommenders) and/or Transcript Request Form (signed by the Dean/Registrar) has to be submitted as part of the admissions process. Couldn't find anything on their website currently. Were there any such forms for 2006 Fall?
Anyone in the know please respond. Would be grateful.
THANK YOU
