Received the same mail yesterday: top gesture by the chicago admission board, thumbs up! (even though it achieved the exact oppposite result as it actually raised my anxiety rather than lower it - I didn't expect decisions as early as next week lol ;))

when was your application complete TwelfthMonkey? Mine was 26 Nov!

I sent mine out on Nov 10th, received the complete-mail on Dec. 4th. I guess that puts me in a "not the first to know but not the last either" position..

no news from their admissions office. I begin to wonder what does it take to give us a clue they're working on our applications... do you know when they're likely to send out final decisions?

Stagista, I don't want to worry you,...but are you sure that your application actually reached the office? Even though I have not received the "application complete" email, I did receive the email which was mentioned few posts above...it's my understanding that every applicant has received it. Maybe you gave them another email address?

I suppose today we might expect the first wave of decisions - plz keep us updated as soon as you heard anything from Chicago :)

Alpert has been following me my whole life to be accepted at UChicago. I told him that he should do that when I travelled back in time this morning to twenty years ago :--)

I got my rejection from Chicago just in...

Usual stuff...50 places, 700 applicants, "it's not you, it's us..." blah blah blah

Hopes remain with Cornell, UPenn (defer), Michigan or Virginia!

I must have been one of the first...I completed way back in late September!

In relation between Chicago and the aforementioned universities I have applied to, should I be worried I did not get in to Chicago as in does it bode the same for these other universities...i'm feeling the future is bleak!
