I have a freind who did his LLM at GW last yr and was unable to get a placement in the US. Not too sure on how sincerely he tried, but his general view was thats its tought to be placed.

Also, slightly out of context to your query but i wanted to know why you have chosen to go to GW. The reason i ask is that i have been admitted to GW as well as Georgetown and am making a final decision as to where i should go

i think ur decision shud largely be influenced by th courses u intend to pursue in US..if its IPR thn definitely GWU wile if its Corporate law thn Georgetown..
If u intend to sutdy Int'l law thn well it'l b a tough choice..georgetown & GWU r both known to hav a gr8 Int'l law faculty so again you must look at th faculty profiles to make ur decision..
lastly i've heard tht though both programs admit a large numbr of int'l students,,georgetowns' career services office is much more active thn GWU's for llm's..sos if u intend to work in US for a wile thn perhaps georgetown gets nothr brownie point..!!

Again if thers nytin else u kno bout GWU (ur frens' perspective etc..) i'l rili appreciate if u cud share it wit me..

Been talking to a few people over the courses at GWU and GT and the general feed back i got was that if you are keen on Patent Law GWU is the place to be, if not then GT and GW are both are more or less on par with each other. Would you agree with this?

Also the general consensus is that GT is a better university to come out of and job prospects are better. My friend who went to GW was one of those insanely brillinat chaps and didnt manage to land a job. So i guess getting a job involves a fair degree of luck as well.
