Hello everyone!
Has anyone applied to American University? And has anyone been accepted? I received my acceptance letter yesterday and I am happy as this school is really well ranked in my area of specialization (International Law). It is ranked in the 6th position.
I would like to know more about the course from someone that is currently attending it, or else impressions from those that have applied and are accepted as well.
I am also waiting for the ILSP scholarship. Has anyone heard about someone getting it?
Thank you for sharing!
Cheers!

I applied and was accepted into American's Law and Government LLM Program, and I am impressed with their handling of admission. Not only did they interview me (over the phone), which most schools do not do in this area, but they have had various faculty members call me to answer my questions.
They also called me to tell me I had been accepted into the program, which was out of the ordinary. I have really felt like they treat their admittees like a family.

I didnt apply to AU but a friend did attend the International law LL.M program at AU two years ago, and really enjoyed it ! His specialization is International Law too, he told me the professors were outstanding, courses fascinating and some excellent conferences were held there.
Thats all I know, hope it helps!
All the best!

You cannot go wrong with AU. I am currently a student in the Law & Government Program, and I am very proud to be part of such a distinguished community. The students are impressive and the professors are the best in their respective fields. By the way, AU is well known for its expertise in international law. I would not give it a second thought.

dcllm - if you don't mind me asking, what is your concentration in the Law and Government program? Are you doing an internship or externship?

My concentration is administrative law and constitutional and civil rights. I have not done an externship or internship as I work full time. However, there are endless opportunities for both should you choose to do so.
