GWU does not have an online application system,,so you will have to print out the application form and send it along with other documents..

GWU online application system is only at hand for JDs. LLM applicants must send out their application materials through regular post. As the deadline is still well ahead (March 15) there's plenty of time to put your application together and forward it.
Posted Dec 28, 2005 09:45
I sent out my application in late November, and was notified by GWU that my file has been placed on the waiting list. The final decision will be made no later than March 15. Since there's still a long time til their deadline, I wonder how does the "waiting list" work? Should I be optimistic or forget about GWU?
Posted Dec 28, 2005 10:16
I would say you have all the reason to be optimistic..many got through georgetown and GWU and they are likely to pick up the former..and as more announcements are made I think your chances will only improve..so be positive and look forward to the new year!!

astroturf, you mean the only way for LLM applicant to complete the application is to print out the form and fill out by handwritting? Is there any software can be used to directly type on pdf file? thanks !
Posted Dec 28, 2005 14:33
yes..pdf applications of some law skools do allow typing with acrobat reader (like northwestern, harvard etc.) but GWU application cannot be typed out..it dosent rili make a diff. wethr ur application is typed or hand written,,its th content thts more imp..jus ensure a neat handwritin and use of capital letters..best of luck!!

astroturf , thanks for your encouragement! I will be looking forward to the 2006!

You may also buy or try the adobe acrobat professional software which has a typewritting tool that alows you to write on the pdf document. Click on this URL:

it jus looks more neat that way,,if th information is in CAPITALS..but i mean its not mandatory or something..(you see I believe that you need to show thoz admission committee people that you've spent a lot of time on your application, and thats th truth..capitalizing is jus one way i gues)..

Ta,
This is the e-mail I got (receivied confirmation letter soon after...still waiting for news regarding financial aid/scholarships). Has anyone been offered a scholarship or fin. aid? Thanks.
I am delighted to inform you that you have been admitted by The George
Washington University Law School to the Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree program
for the 2006-2007 academic year. An official letter of admission with
additional information has also been mailed to you.
Unfortunately, at this time, I am unable to provide you with an answer regarding
your application for a tuition scholarship and financial assistance. I will
notify you as soon as a decision has been reached, hopefully no later than March
31, 2006.
Congratulations on your admission. I do hope that you will accept our offer.
Please feel free in the meantime to contact me directly should you have any
questions about the LL.M. program or the admissions process. I look forward to
hearing from you shortly.
Cordially,

Congratulations on your Acceptance in GWU!! That's a great law school with an enviable location at the heart ot the US Nation's Capital, where momentous breakthroughs and predicaments almost always engage our attention completely. I've also got admission offer from GWU and, at the moment, i'm waiting for the financial aid notice. I think i'll very probably decline their offer to pursue the LL.M. in NWU. It all depends on the financial thing.

thtats th email i received as well..nyways i called GWu yesterday and they said that they will announce the schol decisions only by end of march as stated in the email and the formal letter sent my post..
so i gues we'l have to wait for a couple of weeks more..
nevertheless does anyone here know about the placements of the GWU llm grads or where they are working and how efficient their career office is..i kno th location in DC is great for those planning to intern in US after llm but if anyone has any idea about where (foreign educated) GWU students from last few batches are working then it'l be rili helpful..
