Rejected by Michigan. No problem though, I'll probably attend Virginia :)
Sorry to hear Santa, did you get the news via regular airmail?

That is too bad! I am so sorry Santa! I was really hoping that you and gregor would both get in!
But it is ok, UVA is a GREAT univ! You are going to have a amazing experience...and the weather there is far better than the weather in AA!

No, I haven't received a decision as well. For all you know, it may already be on the way to you.

Maybe it is an offer which is being sent by fedex and shoudl reach you tomorrow? I wouldn't know but keep your hopes up!
Many have not received a decision as yet though so you are not alone! :)

I wasn't informed by UPS until the package was arrived, so don't worry yourself over nothing.

Keep the faith guys!
I know that its easier said than done but you must not give up. Besides, the April 1st deadline is quickly approaching and a number of places are likely to open up thereafter.

Thank you so much for your encouragement...
But I do believe if it is a letter of admission sent by Fedex, there should be notification from the Fedex at least...
SO I am still blue somehow...
It is very hard to keep up hope in the middle of March...

and decisions about financial aid will be next week or so... so some people will reject UoM and more offers will be sent.

I am just wondering if there has been anyone who has officially been notified that they are on the waitlist?
I have just read through the application complete e-mail sent by Michigan and it reads "...admissions decisions will have been made, which will be by March or early April...".
I suspect I am on the waitlist as I have not heard anything and most have received their offers. I will probably get a accept/reject in April but I am not sure..any one has any thoughts?
Cheers,
G

People,
it is getting easier and easier to chose Umich over the others I have been admitted! Just got a grotius fellowship to cover part of my tuition!
I am veryyyyyyyyyyy happy!
seems like they started to send scholarships! I am also waiting to hear about scholarship from UVA, Chicago and UCLA...
Posted Mar 16, 2009 21:45
Hey, me too! I was notified on Friday of my Grotius Fellowship , so I have decided to accept the U oM offer. I was offered financial aid by other schools and I was waiting to hear about financial aid from a couple more. But I doubt any other school will give me a better offer and even if they do I am very happy choosing UoM.

Okay, what is the deal with Michigan? I have not heard anything from them and understand that all offers have been sent out. Is that true?
Can someone explain their admission process? I know more offers would be sent out on 1 April but the process isnt making sense at all. Some on waitlist have been notified while some haven't. Some have been rejected but some haven't!
