How do you know all accepted students were notified today? Are you sure about that?

Guys, I wouldnt pay too much attention to what is written above. This board is starting to get a bit too crazy for me.
FYI: Somebody I know at HLS personally talked to the admission office and they said that they were going to send out their decisions via mail (not email!) on or around 21/22nd of March.
So there is no way that ALL acceptances would have been sent out today. I dont appreciate "jokes" like this or referrals as "desperate fools" to applicants who are still waiting - which was posted by an allegedly admitted student in another thread.

I am sorry, mine was a special situation. Just the people who have pressure/deadline from other schools and have noticed the admissions staff have been notified. You still have a chance so keep checking your mailboxes! don't give up hope!!!! there's a bright day ahead.

i think maybe the NYU Hausers could probably get their HLS decisions earlier if they tell the HLS admissions of their predicament.

Tell them straight.

I actually emailed them and asked when the results will be coming and they replied like this:
"We will be sending decisions via regular mail beginning next week."
Does that mean we have to wait until that reaches us? No email responses?

Nah. Those "test e-mails" from last year drove us all crazier.
Posted Mar 13, 2007 09:23
Do you really think they would use FedEx or UPS to us "deadly" students? Seems weird why they in that case dont use regular email...
Posted Mar 13, 2007 09:53
Congrats!!! The best bit about your post is that you were rejected by a lower ranked school. So there's always hope.

The ppl who seem to have bargained successfully all seem to be NYU admissions (albeit with aid) --- the new HLS admissions diro is from NYU --- do u ppl suppose its on a/c of the fact that she has been able to offer admission at HLS knowing what it takes to get into NYU
Any 1 admitted to CLS for Fall 2007 has been able to use the bargaining chip with HLS so far???

There seems to be a lot of confusion about early Harvard decisions on this board, no thanks to the posts made here.
Just in case anyone is worried - the original post (which was hastily edited out) and the author's correction are both deeply misleading. The author implies that students who notified HLS of another scholarship with a tight deadline would have received an admittance decision on Monday if they were in. If not, they could expect a rejection later.
This is untrue: Students who notified Harvard of an upcoming deadline and requested an early decision were NOT all notified on Monday of their admission. I don't know how the poster can make such a claim, as would be outrageous for the admissions office to be discussing the admissions status of other students. So if you didn't get an email on Monday, that doesn't mean anything, despite what the poster is saying.
I know for a fact that admissions decisions are still being made. If you're in this situation, hang tight, and you'll get a decision soon enough.
