Hey all,

I'm awaiting on my second academic referee to return from sabbatical in January, and at that point I should be able to apply for anLLM at UCL.

I'm just wondering what my chances are, so here's a brief summary of who I am/ what I've done:

- 66% in my three-year undergraduate law degree from a leading Irish university (not the vey best, but awarded Sunday Times university of the year when I was there)
- 5 Firsts in that degree, including Banking Law
- Moved up the class rankings from year to year, Year 1 (19th out of 48), Year 2 (13th out of 45), Final Year (9th out of 45)

- How and ever. I completed the degree from 2006-2009, and immediately began work as a full-time elected students' union officer. I'm now President of my students' union and will be finishing up in June this year. So that's three solid years out of full-time education. I'm taking English Land Law and Administrative Law in semester two this year to bring my degree up to SRA standards (I ultimately wish to become a solicitor in Londond, fingers crossed).

So it's a mixed bag of a decent enough degree, good work experience since then, but three years out, and having to wait until mid-January to apply.

Thoughts?
