Hi there,
Looking for a bit of advice, I have been offered LL.M's in both the University of Limerick & in Trinity and I don't know which one to choose, in Limerick the LL.M is Human Rights in Criminal Justice but it is a new LL.M, has anybody heard about it, I think it is more focused than the LL.M in Trinity but I understand that Trinity has a better reputation as a University. I'd appreciate any advice. thank you :)

I would rather go to Trinity because it has a very very strong reputation and they have way more experience in this field.

I don't know much about Irish law schools... I can't see a reason but they are not very popular amongst prospective llm students. But, to the extent of my restricted knowledge, I would say Trinity is a much wiser choice. I think it's the best university in Ireland...

University of Limerick; A college's reputation may not always be determinative. Many more established colleges are antiquated in their approach, whereas U.L., from my experience as an undergraduate student of Law and European Studies has always been refreshingly receptive to student needs while faculty members are unpretnetious, approachable and helpful. Unhindered communication is especially desirable in the case of a research masters where student, supervisor dialogue is essential.

The University of Limerick is a wiser choice for most- not only can you study under a highly dedicated academic staff, but they also push you to your intellectual limits in an effort to encourage you to become the best lawyer you can. From personal experience and from that of my friends, I would recommend UL over TCD. TCD may operate in a more rarefied manner, but this is not necessarily better for students, particularly LLM students who are trying to condense a lot of learning into a 12 month course.

Hello everyone,
The University of Limerick is a wiser choice for most- not only can you study under a highly dedicated academic staff, but they also push you to your intellectual limits in an effort to encourage you to become the best lawyer you can.
Do you really mean that? "wiser choice for most", "push your intellectual limits" and last, but not least "become the best lawyer you can" (the rest goes into the same direction) translates as:
"Ok folks, let's be honest - the programme at Trinity College Dublin is absolutely splendid, but it's pretty tough and even if you get in, you might not achieve your goals. Know your limits and come to us...."
Well, I don't know what to say (apart from the fact that I am really stunned by the honesty presented) - apart from:
If you have a chance to get into TCD, do so (and, if necessary, work hard)!!!
Bye
