Any ideas on how to get accommodation for a limited term (one or two or three weeks)?

hey there! just got my offer for the international commercial law llm!! and I am def going to glasgow!
reputation counts but also the city (that never sleeps)
I need to feel that I'm in a lively place and not stranded in middle of nowhere plus all the major events take place in glasgow from music to theater, dance, sports you name it!
it is an ancient university with a good name and I expect the best out of it!
Question ; what is the best choice when it comes to accommodation?
Any suggestions / ideas?

I have not found proper accomodation yet, but my main problem is that I am not sure when I will arrive in Glasgow. It will definitely be later than 4th September, probably a week or so. This will clear up within the next few days - I will keep you posted on my exact arrival date and my plans for short term accomodation.

I'm still not 100% certain if I'm going to enrol or not...still deciding :)

When will you be arriving in Glasgow? Where are you coming from? I have my own flat in a primetime location and would have offered you a room (even on a temporary basis) but I'm not sure whether it will be available by the time you arrive...

For accomodation- try glasgow.gumtree.com or s1homes.com and you may find something suitable.

Greetings, all. Glad to see so much activity on this thread. I've been in Glasgow a few weeks now, and I've seen plenty of "for rent" (or rather "to let" as it is said in the UK) signs up all around Glasgow, so don't worry you will find something. Jump on google to get familiar with what's available.

There was a bulletin board up downstairs in the Fraser building near the international students welcome table with people looking for roommates, etc., so perhaps you can find something there. (To be fair there were many more "room needed" notes than "rooms available").

Glasgow is awesome; we are going to have a great time!

It's a shame that I will miss Freshers Week (would have been nice to feel like a real fresher lol) and the International Orientation Programme. I will arrive late next week.
