Has anyone applied to or is planning on applying to LSE?

I have applied :) Really excited.

Has anyone applied to or is planning on applying to LSE?

Also applied on 5th of November. Excited to hear from them.

Nice! At what stage is your application now?

Mine is still “under review by department” apparently we are not to expect a decision until January.

Can I ask how long it took for your application to get to this stage? I only submitted mine yesterday.

Sure! It has been at that stage since I obtained my applicant ID, about two days after submitting. What did change was the position of my transcript within the list of annexed documents (in previous years that was observed as an indicator of a potential offer coming soon, but that apparently hasn’t been the case this time) that was exactly a month ago. Nothing new since!

Thanks for that! Seems as though we may have to wait until January then. Have you applied to study anywhere else?

You’re welcome! This week will be the 8th since I applied, so I’ll remain attentive anyway ;). I also applied to UCL, Edinburgh (Research), Oxford and Cambridge (Research), but I am uncertain as to whether my international grades meet their equivalency standards. Since they are roughly proximal in their entry requirements, I’d love to have an offer/rejection from any of those prior to the holidays in order to assess whether I aimed “too high” and act accordingly. What about you?

Good luck with your other applications, I hope you hear soon! I have only applied to LSE at present. I'm planning on applying to QMUL, SOAS and maybe UCL as well. I am unsure about the written work I need to submit with my UCL application, which is one reason why I have not applied yet!

Good luck to you too! The UCL essay is only 750 words long and they haven’t started issuing offers yet, you’ve got time :)

Oh, I’m sorry! Good luck with your second choice! May I ask if your transcript dropped to the bottom of the list of annexed documents in the applicant portal prior to receiving the rejection?

I applied to LSE's LLM on 04/11, still awaiting for any kind of response.

I'm stupid because I uploaded the incorrect personal statement. I want to kill me

I thought that we were going to hear back from UCL just in January. It would be good to have some news pre-Holidays.

Maybe it will be January, but I’ll optimistically expect news next week.

Has anyone received any response from LSE?

Are you able to say what these changes are? As the website still states the following "Please note that the Faculty is currently implementing a significant enhancement plan for its 2020-21 LLM programme. We expect formal approval of the new structure of the programme by December 2019 and we will inform applicants of details and will issue offers of places after then."
