Hi guys I just want to ask about the deadline for LLM September 2020 for UCL. In the UCL’s website, there are two different application dates which I attached below.
(https://www.ucl.ac.uk/laws/study/llm-master-laws/applying). In this link, it says “ The deadline for applying is 5pm on Friday 28th August 2020”.
However, in another link (https://www.ucl.ac.uk/laws/news/2019/nov/applications-master-laws-llm-ucl-laws-2020-entry-now-open), it says “Admissions to start the Master of Laws (LLM) in September 2020 are open from 1st November 2019 and will close on 1st June 2020.”
Hence, with this informations, which date is the correct one for International students? 28th August 2020 or 1st June 2020?

Thank you!

@rmr2502 - The original deadline for the UCL LLM was the 1st June 2020, however, they have recently extended the deadline to the 28th August 2020. I presume this applies for international applicants as well! I hope this helps :)

Has anyone heard from QMUL on whether deferrals to the LLM for 2020 are permitted? The deadline to pay the deposit is still June 1st but there is no clarity on whether candidates can defer. Have reached out to QMUL multiple times and have not received a response.

Guys,

I found out that UCL have cut a considerable amount of modules for the up coming year, from 70 to 47. And in addition to this have cut Cross-Border Mergers and Acquisitions from the program. A big part of my decision to study an LL.M. (corporate specialism) at UCL was to be able to undertake this module and write my dissertation on M&A.

Now I am seriously considering other options and not quite sure what to do.I never dreamed that UCL would discontinue a module such as this which goes to the core of the corporate specialism,

I would appreciate your opinions on this.

Hi guys,
I got a conditional offer from King's but the chance that I'll be able to get the percentage needed is rather small. I was wondering what are the chance I get in when I don't fulfill the conditions?
Furthermore, if I don't fulfill the conditions when will I get a definitive rejection? I'm asking because I need to confirm or decline other schools by the end of July and the definitive deadline for King's is end of august.
Thanks!

hi, I have also accepted an offer frm UCL, and I realised they cut some of the modules i was looking forward too. I do have another offer frm QMUL, so I amy consider taking that. I guess if u really wnna go to UCL, see if u can write ur Dissertation under the umbrella of another module. I am on the other hand still contemplating LLM this year, coz of the online nature of the course, and since im an international student Im not sure if its worth the money!nway, good luck!

Hi,

I found that emailing your regional manager works. I was able to get a response in two/three working days. Although, I didn't ask any questions on deferral. I'd much rather withdraw my acceptance and re-apply than pay the required 2k to defer.

Also, please I'm keenly interested in the QMUL WhatsApp group. Or should I create one?

I would also like to be added to a whats app or facebook group for admitted students to QMU LLM!

Hey there!  I also applied for KCL just a few days before you.  I got an offer a few days ago so you might just be in the next wave.  Should we make a new thread for this year's applications?
