I have a conditional offer to UCL for 2009. I want to specialise in environmental law and have heard it is good for this area. Just wondering what other people have heard....UCL is not as widely know as Oxbridge and how does it compare particularly for Env law?

Thanks Interalia yeah Sands is definitely eminent in the field although I am not sure how much he teaches. I am just not sure about UCL although I do now its a great school

Even if he's not teaching - I'm not sure since I haven't checked the modules this year - why not try to get him as your thesis supervisor? I think it'll be awfully impressive to put in your CV then you did you thesis under Sands.

Nope, UCL just wasn't right for me personally. It's a very good school though.

UCL has the best environmental law programme in Europe, I have been told. MacRory, Lee, Redgwell, and others are all world class.
