Hi Sneha! Good to see a fellow Indian and I am sure there will be 10 more. The reason I started this is to get all indians at a place and look for a decent accomodation as I don't want to end up in halls. Let's wait for some more time for other to reply and thn go for either UCL self catered houses or private accomodation? Which city and college r u frm?

Hi Shrutika !
I applied for the UCL STUDENT HOUSES since I wanted self catered accommodation ! But all the decisions on allocation of Halls and Houses shall be out by mid August/ early September ! Halls have catered accommodation !

hey guys..Hopefully even I will be joining UCL this year...Though I have filled the accommodation application form, I will prefer a private accommodation to be shared with fellow Indians...also we can go to London by the same flight...so do contact me if any of you are interested in the same.

Hi Pallavi !
You will surely make it to KCL and QMUL ! UCL might ask you for 65% Aggregate ! LSE, I very much doubt coz this time they even rejected 75% ters ! So, there's something that we are unable to comprehend ! But considering the LL.M degree, UCL is a better option than LSE though they are neck to neck with each other ! The choice of your college would also depend to a large extent on the specialization and the subjects you wish to pursue ! ...As far as the recommendations are concerned, you'll require 2 LORs from your teachers/faculty ! Any extra recommendation could be attached as a supplementary document ! 2 Academic LORs are mandatory !
Hope that helps ! :)

Thanks a ton..just confused whether i should take academic recomendation from the college director or any professor who has taught me in college and for the 2nd recommendation i was thinking abt taking it frm a person with a legal background under whom i have interned...Pls suugest the further course of action..

You can take it from any professor of yours who has taught you ! The one from a lawyer or internship guide would classify as a supplementary document ! SOP is perhaps the most important and the strongest document to convince the University about your candidature so work on it nice and hard ! Its length varies from University to University but usually its about 1500-2000 words ! IELTS or an equivalent English Proficiency Test is a condition precedent for the UK Visa since last year so you'll have to give that I suppose ! Your University will help you with that in due course, don't worry ! It's always better to give it though even if your University waves off the condition for IELTS ! Will always help you !

Hey
I've received a conditional offer from UCL but the condition is impossible to achieve. I have a CGPA of around 4.2/7 and they want me to bring it up to 5/7 by the end of my undergrad. I'm got only one more semester to go and hence its impossible to achieve that grade. Should I accept the offer anyways and write a mail to graduate admissions?
Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Specially if anyone has faced a similar situation before this. Thanks!
