Hi all,
Called Ms Wade a couple of days ago and confirmed my application was not successful. She apologized for not having me informed earlier as all offers should be out already. She said she will update my record and within an hour my status changed from "under consideration" to "unsuccessful". Disappointing but at the same time a great relief after all the wait. I can now happily prepare my LLM for LSE -> after all probably a more sensible 'choice' for public and human rights law ;-)
For those of you holding an offer from (and have decided to go to) Cambridge, my warmest congratulations and best of wishes to you for an enjoyable year ahead!
Cheers,
cng1238
Dear cng1238, many thanks for your nice wishes! I am sure that you will enjoy LSE and London very much. One of my best friends is doing LLM at LSE right now and she's super happy. Wish you the best. Cheers!

Hi everyone. I have also applied to LLM of Cambridge)) just got the conditionnal offer))) Just wanted to make sure - we have nothing to do with the colleges yet, do we? I mean it's the University who finds a college for us, right?
Posted Jun 13, 2012 16:13
That is correct.
Posted Jun 13, 2012 17:43
Thanks)))

I got my offer from Hughes Hall today. That was my first choice so I am pretty happy.
Posted Jun 14, 2012 00:37
Congratulations))) and why did you choose that college?

I honestly don't remember!!! But I'm sure I had a valid reason last November when I stuck it down. It wasn't an area of the application form that I spent too much time worrying about.
I was actually a bit disappointed when I saw the offer because I thought that Sidney Sussex was my first preference but then I checked my application and realised that I had Hughes first and Sidney Sussex second.

My first preference is King's college, but Ihaven't got any news yet... Did anyone else choose King's?

My final year result is a 63%, (with a 67.4% in the last semester). The condition Cambridge has made is for a 65%. I'm planning to appeal to them for a reconsideration. Any clue whether they are likely to consider the appeal? And is there anything that might help my case?
For the record, in my University 60% and above is a first class. About 15% of the University has a result of 60% and above, and based on this I have a fair estimation that with a 63%, I am certainly in the top 10% at least.
Also, I've been assigned St. Edmund's college. I had not given any preference while filling the application, since I didn't know anything about the colleges. How is St. Edmund's supposed to be?

Hey everyone! For those who had to pay the reservation fee for MCL, has your account been updated? I paid the reservation fee well within the time provided but it doesn't seem to reflect anywhere. My account has been updated and all other conditions have been removed apart from this and one another.

Has anyone heard anything about the Cambridge Commonwealth Shared Scholarship??? Or has anyone heard from the Cambridge Trust about the various scholarship/bursaries they offer???
Posted Jun 18, 2012 17:57
I received the DAAD-scholarship! Anyone else here?

Hi everyone! Is there one who has tried or got a deferral for MCL? Are they allowing the deferral for MCL?

I have the same question as Rishavban; has anyone received feedback on the Cambridge sponsored scholarships? Thanks.
