Hi everyone,

My status currently reads "Under consideration by the degree committee". It has been that way since December. Hopefully I should receive some good news this week!

But on the flip side, I'd rather wait than have a rejection hurriedly delivered on camsis/email :(

Hello,

I submitted my completed application at the end of September. I finished top of my law class on a 1st class honors degree from an Irish University.

Should I be worried my camsis states that I am still "awaiting consideration"? :/

Not to be harsh, but it would take you only a few minutes of reading previous posts to see that you shouldnt worry.

(I dont see what relevance your grades have in this connection either.)

That was a tad harsh lex, simply asking a question, though I appreciate the quick reply :)

What University in Ireland? With those credentials I would have thought you should have received an expedited offer.

When did you finish your LLB? It seems they tend to favor recent applicants.

Just a normal normal university in Ireland. I hope I don't sound like I'm boasting above because I'm not. I had to work very hard to get that grade! I graduated this year.

I think I read somewhere that they look at applications on a first come first serve basis, I was just wondering is anyone else in the same boat as me who applied early and has not progressed from "awaiting"?

Oh my god, you're preaching to the converted here haha. I will (hopefully, hopefully) end up with a first as well when I finish in a few months. It's extremely tough, absolutely no life during the school year.

I wouldn't worry though, you have as good a chance as everyone with a first, as they seem to place the most importance on grades. Camsis status does not mean much.

Heya.
I have been following development on the application status in this forum for a while. It brings so much joint comfort to be anxious on a common pursuit; and to reach out to everyone by saying that we are in this together...well at least till April for most. I would just like to share my milestones:

20 Nov 11: Submitted Application
22 Nov 11: Status "Awaiting Doc"
26 Jan 12: Status jumped to "Under consideration by Degree Committee"

Keep the faith.

I was in a similar position last week and I applied about a week after they started accepting applications (September/October I think).

I called up the department last week (after having called them a month before and been told that it would change within two or so weeks) and was told that they were in fact considering my application but for some reason my status had not been changed. It was changed to 'under consideration' within the hour.

With that in mind, it may be worth giving them a cheeky call.

Hey Dubie, sorry to bother you again, but has your CamSis status still not changed? As I explained, my e-mail service broke down and all I can check is CamSis...

Earlier this morning I received an e-mail with a conditional offer for the MCL program at Cambridge. As you can imagine, I was very pleased to read the letter :)

My BGS status has changed from "under consideration" to "awaiting decision".

Good luck to you all!
