Hi George! I am from Greece too and I 'll attend an LLM programme in England next September. As fas as the universities in London I believe that both LSE and UCL offer a great LLM. Edimbourg is also good if you like Scotland. I suggest you to see also the University of Durham, it is at the top five in law and is a beautiful place.

ThankS Dion, earlier today I have contacted fbsss which is another compatriot of ours and I see you have contacted him/her too-I GAVE HIM SOME OPINIONS about Lse, ucl, king's and Queen Mary-the general picture that I have is that lse leads(excluding Oxbridge of course) ucl is close and then we have king's and queen mary. But that is a very general overview only. I know about Durham and I HAVE met a girl that has been in Durham for the llm in international and european legal studies. But I think that Durham is a place where the weather is awful not that in London it is better.Lse is more expensive that the others but what makes ucl better than king's?But of cours all those are generalities- you have been accepted in ucl?

Firstly, the weather in Durham is quite good(I lived there for two months) and it is cheap and friendly. With criterion the weather I would not prefer scottish universities. I came in touch with fbsss too. Yes, I have been accepted in ucl, lse and Cambridge. Are you interesting to attend a LLM this September?

If I understand well, you intend to apply for the 2008-9 programmes. I know a girl in the same situatution as you, you may know her...I'll go to Cambridge. As far as your last question, the only thing I can say is that UCL has a better reputation than Kings especially if you intend to work in Greece after your LLM.

A reasonable choice I think-you chose the best university but it is a small town as opposed to London which is a metropolitan capital. You want to concentrate to your studies I guess. Thanks for the opinion about king's and Ucl but I still can not understand why it has been formed-I suspect that along with political and athletic mythologies, there exist academic ones.if I apply I will apply then hopefully.

Why not remain in Greece whilst studying for your LL.M? (I often imagine students sitting with a wireless laptop on the beach, but I know that's not entirely practical). But at least with distance learning you get great weather and an LL.M from the UK!
Distance learning is possible from many UK institutions and there are many different LL.M programmes available, so check the boards here, or have a look via Google.
With criterion the weather I would not prefer scottish universities.
It's a beautiful sunny day in Edinburgh at the moment! And it's been a pretty decent winter all together.
If you're originally from the Mediterranean I doubt you'd notice a lot of difference between Edinburgh and Durham with respects of weather - you'd likely find them as cold as one another.
Good luck where ever you end up!
