Hi,

I'm just curious who else got the 4000 Pound Scholarship from the QMUL and who's going to apply for the Roy Goode Scholarship?

I am wondering if they are currently awarding these scholarships very generously, as many applicants (like myself) are probably having a hard time accepting the offers due to the current corona crisis.

What do you think?

Haven't heard anything yet.

Did they say anything about starting of course for 2020 because of coronovius?

Hi,

actually they send an email on Thursday which was somehow connected to the Covid 19 pandemic, but they have not mentioned anything about a postponement of the starting date. Got comparable messages by KCL and LSE, too.

I think they know just as much as we know and therefore, they won't be able to give any hint regarding the start date.

I'm even more afraid that they are not just postpone the start date, but instead they might just offer some only courses. That'd be really disappointing...But health is the most important thing.

Ok. Yeah true, all are in same situation.

Also most of applicants for masters are International students and it will very difficult to take decisions under ongoing situation.

Hi

I think it will impact. Very few applicants would take a risk of leaving what they have now, to join a course with so much uncertainty.

Frankly, I am too thinking about my options and backup plans.

Hey, did they just offered the scholarship or you had to ask? I got in both QMUL and KCL and, although the Covid situation is better than last year, everything is still very uncertain. I was wondering if they would grant a scholarship or a discount on the annuity fees if you just ask them (and without having to apply to any specific scholarship or related to merit). From your message, it appears that these schools would be willing to grant discounts upon request, so I am thinking that I probably should shoot my shot here!

I didn’t get any scholarship. I think Roy Goode Scholarship is just by merit and discretionary given by QMUL.

Will the classes be in-person?

UCL stated in the offer the classes are going to be hybrid (in-person and online). I’m thinking about to defer both offers if possible without pay the 2k deposit.
