I think as Jag remarked, the Oxford offers would come sooner than Cambridge's next batch of decisions.

I dont think one needs to call them (unless there are pressing needs for the same)... e-mail is the quickest way to know for those who get the offers.. for the rest its ordinary mail.. (for Oxford that is)..

Another point, Cambridge has laid down an elaborate procedure and the last date for all decisions has been pegged at Aprill 15th, which is the date when most (!!) of the rejections should be out..
Oxford has stated 20th March as date when decisions should be expected. Do you think even the rejections should be out simultaneously ?
