What sort of a profile do the offer holders thus far have? Kindly elaborate....

Thanks for the replies everyone,
Congrats S_Dimelow, I am hazarding a guess that you have pretty much the whole selection of scholarships/prizes/top of the year stuff, what is your take on publications?
I get the impression this is fairly uncommon amongst UK undergrads...

Actually, I'm not really sure whether the first round of offers are made, as the website suggests, to exceptional candidates. In all honesty, I really don't see myself as an exceptional candidate, but merely average.

Me too...I bet all our theories are wrong, and it's completely random!

Well done guys,
:) conditional offer,
anyone want to hazard a guess what the conditions might be?

It doesn't explicitly say, but for me I know it's conditional on my final degree grade, since I'm yet to graduate...I'm English, so it won't be a language condition...
Posted Feb 17, 2009 15:05
And it might be conditional on being able to pay...

Alvin, Suze... Anyone who receives an offer for the Cam LLM is an exceptional candidate! Well done!
I'm still waiting (few hours left in the day, so fingers are crossed!). Failing that I could go for an afternoon siesta and try to dream about being accepted. You never know... :P

Congratulations Big_Suze!
I tend to agree, I don't see myself as 'exceptional' either, at least under my definition of the word. But then, on reading the offer pack it is made clear that they may, if you choose to decline or defer, offer your place out again. This would explain the March/April acceptance spurt that seems to come as I imagine a few people choose the BCL over Cam and so, once Oxford start to offer places, they reject Cambridge. Logically, therefore, you could say that these later offers are the 'reserves', if you like. Nevertheless, for the record, I believe that anyone who gets accepted is an excellent candidate- whether they are the first offer or the last.
All offers are conditional. If you are yet to graduate they will be conditional on your degree grade and evidence you can pay the fees. Those who have already graduated, must simply show they can pay.
Congrats again!
