Oxford 2024-2025 BCL/MSCs/MJUR/MPHIL/MLF

MScTax

Hi - anyone here who applied for MSc in Taxation?

Yes, I have applied to the msx tax. Whats your status, has your button disappeared. My magic button disappeared today at around 3:30 GMT.

Hi, I missed this. Had Dm'd you around the same time. I don't see any updates from any other MSc Tax candidates here and I haven't heard anything from Oxford as yet. In case you get an offer, please do post here.

I do not believe there is a group yet for offer holders

What are the groups available? I know there is one for applicants and one for Oxford Law in general, but that's about it - is there one for BCL?

Too late to ask this question and kind of redundant also, but can someone please tell me what is this magic button? Is it the upload button in supporting documents tab of application details? or just any kind of upload button? Because I do not see any upload option anywhere in my application. Haven't been keeping track of this or the conversation here.

For next years applicants reference, as I am sure they will explore last years threads, including ours:

Try not to stress too much, easier said than done I know, I am not really one to talk. Once your app is posted, there is nothing you can do but wait. So don't dwell on something you cannot influence. Whatever the outcome, be proud you got to this point and remember that when one door closes, another opens.
With regards to the magic button theory - please please, and I can't stress this enough, do NOT put your faith in that. It has been largely disproven last year and certainly this year. The only thing it means is that your fate has been sealed with a decision. And the only thing talking about the magic button does is stress you out.

But, for statistical purposes, my button was gone sometime wednesday I would guess. Received an BCL offer Friday between 16-17. The email itself came about 6-7 hours later.

To add to the above, applicants in their final year of undergraduate should be aware of the particular difficulty of gaining entry without a full set of undergraduate grades, and should not be discouraged to apply again after graduation. I have followed the Oxford fora for a number of years now, and the number of people rejected in their final UG year and accepted the year after is striking. I myself am one such rejected who managed to get an offer this year, and know many others. Concentrate on your final exams and don’t give up!

When are all offers/rejections meant to be delivered? Was there any pattern in previous years? My button has disappeared (unsure when since I wasn't checking obsessively until now) but no news yet. The wait is agonising

Apparently there has been a problem with the applications system and not all results have been delivered. A few applicants with the same problem have contacted graduate admissions office and they have answered that indeed our applications are still pending. They also recommended that we keep checking for updates in the following days.
