Did anyone receive a rejection/offer?

Did anyone receive a rejection/offer?
Nothing here for MPHIL/DPhil. Does it seem that we survive during the weekend? May we expect they would send offers if no one received rejections today? Or, may they just change to send rejections next week rather than the weekend this year? Who knows, that's very interesting. It seems that they didn't do anything this year from Friday to Sunday, whereas in previous years Thursday and Friday with mass offers; and then rejections through Saturday to next week.

Another thing interesting this year is that no one has reported here about receiving a waiting list, right?
Posted Mar 20, 2022 08:10
Maybe they chose not to report here

Good morning, no news on BCL.
I've rather lost hope on BCL or Cambridge LLM now. Going to start doing some productive stuff today.

BCL Applicants:
Have you guys received any updates - Offer/Rejection emails?
Posted Mar 20, 2022 12:11
As far as i am aware all of the bcl and mjur buttons have disappeared. The theory at the moment is that the people whose buttons disappeared on Wednesday received an offer on Thursday. everyone else's buttons seem to have disappeared around the same time on Thursday, and those people have not heard back yet. So the theory is that if you haven't heard back yet (and are part of the Thursday button disappearance group), you'll most likely receive a rejection or waitlisting mail in the coming week.
since no new offers for bcl or mjur were sent out on Friday, some people think that there will be more offers next week (I highly doubt this though as there seems to be a pattern with the button disappearance, even if it appears to be different from the past years)
hope this helpsHave not received any communication from Oxford yet, and Getting v scared reading the thread! Hoping and Praying for the best!!
Hello guys! I am new on this thread.
I applied for BCL course and haven't heard anything from the University. I read about the "Magic Button" disappearance theory this morning only, and immediately logged in to the portal. The button has disappeared (I wasn't aware of this theory before this morning, hence couldn't check the disappearance of the button in the past two days)
So, is there anyone who has still not heard from the University but at the same time their upload button option on the portal is also unavailable? Also, What does this situation imply, rejection isn't it, since offers were sent on Thursday and Friday?
Awaiting for a response. Thanks.
there

Nope, nothing. Assuming we will hear back on Monday.

Are there chances of them sending out remaining offers for BCL from Monday? The "magical" upload button on my portal disappeared on Saturday morning around 3am U.K. Time (that's when I actually came to know about this theory and immediately checked. So I am not sure if it actually disappeared well before, say Friday or Thursday.) Plus since Saturday, I haven't heard anything from them - neither offer/rejection.
Or am I just being too optimistic and should brace for rejection?

As for chances, I have no clue. Not in admissions. All I will say is to manage expectations. That is what I will be doing. Best of luck for tomorrow everyone.

Let us see what will happen on Monday at 2.00 am and then wait for the working hours to see what we will get ultimately. Good luck to us!

Yes, wish you some luck too.
However, I seriously doubt there will be more offers. The problem here is that we are such a small sample of people on this thread that it is hard to draw any inferences on what has or hasn't happened. I checked last year, and offers were dispatched on Thursday with the remaining offers finally filtering through on Friday. The following week was a slog of rejections. There aren't enough offers to warrant so many days by the staff to send emails. The BCL draws offers to around 300 or so students. So, that's not a crazy number and can be easily completed in 2 days by several people.
P.S. What maniac made the system send emails at 2am? How ridiculous is that!?

Agree with your observation, but we may still have a little hope. This year, they just sent offers one day so far. And one reported receiving a DPhil in social-legal studies rejection around Saturday at 2.00 am. I guess it means that there may still be some offers for BCL/MJUR/MPHIL/DPhil IN LAW, otherwise, it is likely we would have received rejections in the weekend. And Thursday, except for offer holders, nearly all of us with buttons disappeared, it may just mean that all of them were decided, maybe offers or rejections. They may still send offers in dispatches. Overall, I would say that Monday may be our final hope, although little, but it could be, given what happens through Friday to Sunday, compared to last year. Fingers crossed!
Actually, I would like to ask an interesting question, does anyone who is still waiting think his/her background is very excellent and still confident to get in? That may also be a good sign! Love you guys for together in this journey, at least, we will leave experience for the future applicants—forgetting magic button theory,do whatever more productive thing!

Read from another thread: some for MSt International Human Rights received rejections through the weekend.

Going by the updates on this thread, I reckon BCL Applicants haven't received any rejections this weekend. So, this does imply that there could be a few more offers sent tomorrow (Monday)
Nevertheless I joined this thread way too late, but went through the discussions from March 16 and would admit we are leaving something worth reading for future applicants :p
Requesting every BCL Applicant to update here as and when they hear something.
Wishing everyone good luck!

I totally agree.
I think we might be missing out something: waitlist! No one has reported being waitlisted. So, we might see many waitlist on Monday, then followed by mass rejection. We might even still get offers early this week.
For now, I'm still hopeful.

Personally speaking, I have a feeling I should have picked a more ambitious essay to peacock myself. I don't know but I think my academics were good enough. I got a first every module except one module -- but who knows?
Well, I'm off to bed now so good night.
I am imagine you're going to be sleeping with one eye open facing your inbox in your phone!! :D
