Oh yes. My rejection has also arrived.
It's been lovely sharing this experience with you all and getting to chat with you all. Wish you all the best for future endeavours.
Have to think about whether it worth reapplying next year after the bar course. And whether Cambridge ever gets back to me.
Hey-ho. All the best to you all.

Really sorry to hear about the rejections. Good luck with other applications everyone!
Has anyone created a WhatsApp group for those accepted to the BCL?

Hey guys, is there any chance for people got rejected recently be admitted into Oxford later on this year? Provided that many offer holders may give up their places for whatever reasons, including failing to meet academic conditions etc.
Thanks a lot!

As far as I know they also waitlist people (but I think that your rejection email would state that you're waitlisted). So waitlisted people may have a chance to receive an offer later on, but people who got rejected don't.
But maybe I'm misinformed?

Received an informal offer for IHRL today.
Was rejected twice by Oxbridge (LLM and BCL) before this. A big thank you for the tips/help shared in the forum.
Good luck and all the best to all remaining applicants

Hi all,
Current BCL student here - had meant to leave a timeline earlier but if it is helpful to any offer holders that will be relying on a bursary in order to take up their offer I received my BCL offer on 19th March last year and then the Law faculty needs-based bursary was offered on the 14th May.
This is a long wait and it can be difficult not knowing whether you will be able to take up a place but keep hope!
If you have any questions about the needs-based bursary let me know (I find people talk about it much less than the scholarships so trying to change that!).
I would also advise incoming students to check thestudentroom.co.uk forums and look for any discord groups to join as it can be helpful to have people to talk to whilst waiting.
Hope this helps, good luck all.

Does anyone know how long after the departmental offer comes the one from college? It says that it can take up to 8-10 weeks, which seems quite a long wait

It will be a long wait :D

I see, seems like they really enjoy taking their time…
so will it be around the same time as scholarships results are going to be communicated?

If I understood correctly, scholarship results may come at any time, as different funding bodies are disposing over separate funds. I think that e.g. Clarendon and WHT usually reach out in early April, while college funding may only come with the college offer and departmental scholarship only in June

Depends, uni-wide scholarships might be awarded earlier

Thanks so much for sharing this info! It’s been such a struggle to find information or discussion here about the needs based bursary. Just sent you a DM :)

Have a question for BCL/MJUR/MPHIL/DPhil IN LAW waitlisters, when did you guys receive the waitlist notification this year? Was it the same time last week with offers or the same time this Monday with rejections? Thank you very much for your sharing to help us who may reapply next year and all future applicants, and good luck to all of us!
