Oxford 2021-2022 BCL/MSCs/MJUR/MPHIL/MLF Applicants

Antony93

Agree with Miki; received my offer on thursday but will turn it down as I believe that the academic year will still be affected by Covid.

Since a lot of institutions have already cancelled their graduation ceremonies in autumn and with the given dynamic of the pandemic, I think that nobody can guarantee a regular programme and I personally consider it as too expensive to attend courses online in the end. Will again apply next year and hope that courses won't be affected at that time!

Long story short: Someone of you will be ending up getting my place and therefore those of you waitlisted don't need to lose hope!! :))

Additional: I know at least one other person that will most likely turn down her offer due to Covid. Guess a lot of admitted students will share the same thoughts, so some places should become available :)

Got waitlisted for the MLF.

Does anyone know if this is just standard/curtesy procedure. I haven’t seen any rejections so it feels like this is a ‘soft’ rejection. In other words, do they place the majority of applicants on the waiting list?

Hi, it is by no means a "soft rejection". In fact, the chances of getting an offer from the waiting list are fairly high so don't lose hope :)

Hey all!

Also still in consideration if I will undertake my postgrad this year due to the pandemic. Think that next to the academic experience the social aspects and possibilities to connect with folks from all over the world are the real assets of studying at Oxbridge.

Anyway, if I'll start this year, I will go to Cambridge so that another place in the MLF should become available :)

@Antony, if you read this, could pls dm me- would like to talk to someone in the same position.

Best regards

Nope! I don't mean to rain on your parade, but I am quite positive all acceptance emails have been sent and we are just awating rejection ones. Best of luck anyways!

Haha! Yeah, I am also pretty sure about that - was just wondering if anyone has received a rejection/waitlist e-mail today.

Hello!

Last week they issued offers for MLF. This week it might be BCL/MJur. Best wishes for all!

MJUR applicants:
When you click on "Supporting Documents", are you still able to upload new documents, or this option disappeared and you are only able to see the existing documents?
The website states that once a decision has been made, you cannot upload anything anymore.
I just checked and I am still able to upload.

How about you?

Hi princessmegan,
I am also still able to upload documents. I am not sure if that indicates that Oxford has not made a decision on my application yet. I would think that the actual "decisions" have been made at this time, but the system takes some time to process those decisions and notify them to applicants.
Best of luck!

I was wondering the same but I think its re MLF. I suspect we will be hearing about BCL later on this week (at the earliest).
