Agree with Miki; received my offer on thursday but will turn it down as I believe that the academic year will still be affected by Covid.
Since a lot of institutions have already cancelled their graduation ceremonies in autumn and with the given dynamic of the pandemic, I think that nobody can guarantee a regular programme and I personally consider it as too expensive to attend courses online in the end. Will again apply next year and hope that courses won't be affected at that time!
Long story short: Someone of you will be ending up getting my place and therefore those of you waitlisted don't need to lose hope!! :))
Additional: I know at least one other person that will most likely turn down her offer due to Covid. Guess a lot of admitted students will share the same thoughts, so some places should become available :)
Got waitlisted for the MLF.
Does anyone know if this is just standard/curtesy procedure. I haven’t seen any rejections so it feels like this is a ‘soft’ rejection. In other words, do they place the majority of applicants on the waiting list?
Hi, it is by no means a "soft rejection". In fact, the chances of getting an offer from the waiting list are fairly high so don't lose hope :)
