Oxford 2021-2022 BCL/MSCs/MJUR/MPHIL/MLF Applicants

Does anyone know if it's possible to receive information about the outcome of a BCL application early?

I have an offer from another institution that must be responded to by mid-March and saw this on the graduate decisions timeline page: "however, if you need to know the outcome earlier so you can make a decision by a deadline set by another institution, you can contact the academic department to ask if this is possible".

Do you have to pay them a deposit by mid-March as well? Otherwise, just accept the offer and withdraw later, like everyone else does.

Yes this unfortunately includes a deposit!

Ok, have you read carefully whether the deposit can be made later than accepting the offer or options for receiving it back? They vary by institution, and some might have a 14-day free return, etc. That should be sufficient for you to get feedback from Oxford. Worst case I suppose you can always try asking them.

Hi everyone! Is it possible to receive an offer for both the LLM at Cambridge and BCL at Oxford? They are both separate admissions right?

Do you happen to know where we can contact the academic department? Like an official email?

I'm facing the same problem!

Hi!

Has anyone received a decision? MLF applicants are usually the first!

Do we hear by email or through the applicant portal?

Through email I believe. The email I received after submitting my application says 'Please note: your Graduate Applicant Self Service will not give information on the status or outcome of your application after it is ready for assessment.'

An acquaintance was admitted for a course related to African studies (can't remember the name of the course now), and another for something in the biological sciences. As for BCL, Mjur, and MLF, I don't think they have started issuing responses. Probably within the next two weeks, we should be getting offers.

Hello there! I'm an MJur offer-holder from last year (and currently reapplying), and while I can't tell for the other courses, but for the BCL and MJur personally, offers started rolling out by email in mid-March. Note that offers, rejections and waitlists get sent out all at once; they don't do rejections first and offers later like Cambridge. Hope this helps :)

Thanks for the information! I am a MLF offer holder who is reapplying this year as well! Hopefully this year we will have a positive outcome again! :)
