Hi! I received my rejection today. Hopefully there will be better news for you guys soon :)
The timeline was dreadful this year (8 months since submitting, over a year since I began to work on the research proposal):
18 Sept 2019: Submitted.
20 Dec 2019: Moved to "under review by department."
6 Mar 2020: Gates rejection.
15 May 2020: Rejection.
Hi Finafirn, thanks for the update although am sorry to hear you got a rejection. Still stuck at review at the department stage and contemplating whether to withdraw my application. Seems Cambridge has made a decision to only have online classes for the next academic year
I wouldn’t withdraw. You’ve waited for a long time now :) Also, according to the news report (a little poor on their part not to contact students first) it’s only face-to-face lectures that are cancelled. Maybe this research course won’t be too badly affected.
The news do help me to not regret as much having withdrawn my LLM application earlier in favour of this one.
