Hello everyone.
I am currently looking for a school to do a summer session in law.
LSE & Cambridge programs have a similar price and Cambridge program seems to be more complete that LSE's one but I can't really say...
I'm seeking council to know which program would be the more interesting to follow.
Thank you for your advices.

Hi there,
I am also thinking of applying for either Cambridge's English Legal Methods or LSE's law summer program. Can anyone tell me something about it? Like how are the courses/teachers etc?

Thank you.
hm... LSE program has assessments. That is probably a plus. And they also suggest courses on specific matters, such as corporate law.

Has anybody applied yet? I am really hoping someone could tell me about either one of the summer schools.. So far most people have advised me to go to Cambridge, even if it's twice the fee of LSE. But from the looks of the brochure and website, I think the courses at LSE offer more depth and it has written examination. So I'm still torn between the two because Cambridge does offer great courses as well. If anybody would like to share the experiences, please do :)
Thanks in advance!

I am enrolled to the Cambridge's program. Heard good things about it. The benefit is that they provide accomodation.
Never heard of LSE's. So no comments.
Good luck to everyone.

I think I will apply at Cambridge too.
Do you know if there is any selection ? (lose 500 in application fee would be nice...).
Hopin' to see you there.
Good Luck.

Everybody who applies to the Summer School at Cambridge will get a place. The condition is to have finished at least one year of law (I think).
The price encompasses the accommodation and also the breakfast and the diner, but not the lunch (2 years ago, that was the situation). It has maybe changed.
Anyway, it's a very good experience :-)

Cambridge Summer school is more of a general nature, i.e. you basically get some idea on Common law (if you are from the civil law country), but it's too broad to be efficient. though definiltely, it's great, cos it provides u with accomodation.
with regard to the LSE summer school, the benefit is definitely the depth (to the extent possible in 3 weeks) and concentration of the program of your choice. The level is high, they have final written assesment and you may also write a short paper for the course, that would be evaluated by the professor at LSE (which I consider a very useful thing).
Lastly, u have the chance to spend you summer in London, which is undoubtedly much more socially, culturally and etc. entertaining.
