LSE or Bristol

Inactive User

I am trying to decide between LSE and Bristol. I have offers from both to study for an LLM in Public International Law. Ultimately, I prefer the modules Bristol offers, but I am leaning towards LSE because of its reputation.

Does anyone have any advice? Is it worth turning down an offer from LSE for Bristol? How is the quality of the International Law degree at Bristol? Plus, is the money I'd spend for LSE actually worth it?

Thank you so much!

I cannot comment on the 'international reputation' of these institutions, partly because I think focussing on that question misses the point. When you leave, employers will be looking at you, your grades and what you have studied. The question is where will you get the subjects in which you are interested and also where will you get a good learning environment. Relevant questions here are the subjects offered; staff student ratio; library holdings, as well as the method of instruction. Also, bear in mind this is a year of your life that you will never get again. It is a great opportunity to have a really good time - not just in social terms but in the opportunity to learn more and different things. Don't waste it by doing what you think is safe or what you think you ought to. Consider what you want and then look for the institution that matches that.
