To all LSE LLM students and graduates,
I'm starting the LLM at the LSE in two months and am thinking about which courses I'd like to study. One of the problems with the LLM programme is that there is no overlap between different graduating classes, so we can't find out on the grapevine which professors are really good, which work you like slaves, which classes are disappointing, and which are amazing. So I thought it would be very useful to new/future LSE students if current/past LSE LLM students would post on this thread which classes they enjoyed most/least and why.
Hope the idea catches on, and thank you for your contributions in advance..

hi tabmas, i'm interested in human rights classes too. several people i know say that all of conor gearty's classes are excellent. depending on the timetable i'd like to take Human Rights in the UK. seems like such an interesting class. also Terror and the Rule of Law really interests me..

Hi Good Gosh
I have seen alot on posts about Gearty and Professor Chinkin so hopefully they will be avialble this semsters. Also noctied that Dr Chaloka Beyani who seems to have a massive cv has interesting classes. My interests lie in Women's Rights, Human Rights in Developing countries and International aspects of HR.Where are you from?

I am from Africa. It makes sense for you to take up terrorisim and the rule of law considering where you are from. For me, Women's rights is a big issue in Africa hence my interest. It's just a pity taht the final course list only comes up in September..it doesn't help with planning:)

GoodGosh
You are a star, thanks for the link. It's weird that they put the list under the section of current students instead of prospective.Alas, it has now given me more of a dilemma. Will definatley take up Internation HR and Women's Rights with Prof Chinkin and Human Rights in the Developing world but the other 1 (or 2 half courses) will be hard to choose. In order to experience the greatness of Prof Gearty I have to take up one of the courses on HR in the United Kingdom which may not be relevant to my focus.Alternatively I can take up one of his half courses and add Wolrd Poverty and HR to it or just forget about him and take up Approches to Human Rights.
These are the times current students would be soo helpful:(
