LLM UCL / KCL / LSE / QMUL 2019-20

Botafogo

Hi, I´m from Brazil and have been accepted to KCL and QMUL so far (still waiting for LSE and Cambridge). From what i´ve heard KCL and QMUL are basically equivalent. I work with corporate law so would be willing to search for more subjects in this field. Which one do you believe is better? Any thoughts? thanks in advance

For LSE, my application was completed on 6 Jan and I still haven't received my ID. Should I be worried?

Also, does anyone have any update about KCL? I applied on 9 Dec and there has been no change at all. I tried to contact the admission office and there has been no reply either.

One more question, is it possible to choose a specialism when I only applied for the general LLM (for KCL and LSE)?

For KCL idk, but LSE: yes, your specialization is determined from your choices (minimum of x courses in one area).

Why dont you research their courses if those fit your interests/needs for your job/future careerplans. At the same time, check for rankings in that particular field. It really depends on your personal needs and objectives.

Thank you! I'm set to graduate this year with a First Class Honours in Law (LLB). I applied for the International Law specialisation of the LSE LLM. I've done several internships at commercial law firms and am very involved with the IR society on campus. I also focused on modules related to International Law this year.

Hi! I'm applying to KCL and I am not sure about how to complete the section "qualification". Does ayone know which option I should select? In Uruguay mi degree is lawyer, but I do not find any option similar as bachelor (law) or JD. Thank you!

I couldn't find that option either so I just wrote 'Bachelor of Laws' myself and it worked

Hi, Pau! I had the same problem. I chose “bachelor of arts” as there was no other option, and, just as Mikolaj, i had no problem for it.

Good luck!

Hi guys! As I am still waiting for an answer from LSE, I'm considering applying to UCL as well. I have prepared my personal statement, but I don't know how long it would take to write the essay. Do you think it should be a "real" paper with quotes etc.? I'm writing my master's dissertation, so I don't have plenty of time.

I did it with just a work-related story, which motivated me for the topic. As I read it, you can either send an academic paper of your (i.e. with citation etc.) or a story from work, but necessarliy related with the motivation you want to study further.. I hope it helps..
