Hi guys!
Anyone taking the LLM on Public International Law at QM? Would love to hear your thoughts about the program. How does it fare when compared to KCL's LLM? Thanks. :)

Hi!!
I took the bar exam last year on December and I am waiting for the results... you know the italian correction is very very slow... I have to quit out from this country as soon as possible... :-)
Do you know if is it difficult to win a scholarship at QMUL? Because I have read that there are only 12 scholarships and in particular the CCLS will be award only 3 scholarships...

Wow, seems like we're finally getting more for QMUL LLM this year :)
Daniel, to your other post in the offer letter thread... Think so too, the CCLS has great offers and ooportunities for students both in taught and research courses. I chose Queen Mary both for the CCLS and the QMIPRI as I am going to specialize in IP law.
Look forward to meeting all of you in September :)

Daniel: I'm from Germany.
Applied for QMUL Accommodation, too. But I heard they need you to prove an unconditional offer until mid of August and I'm not sure if my final grade will be available until then :-/ So I might be looking for alternate accommodation as well, as the campus rooms seems to get more expensive this year, too. So, we'll see :)
lylbbv: Yes, finally! :)

Accomodation is very expensive I agree with you... but in my opinion it is worth... there will be great opportunities for our career at Queen Mary.
I read a post about LSE or UCL here in this blog... It has no sense rankings are not the truth...it depends on your working experience and on your goals... There is not a best university at all but there is only a university that can help you to achieve your goal.
It is not important in my view if LSE is 1 or UCL is 2 and QMUL is 5 it makes no sense... it is important how you achieve your goal...what courses a university could provide you with... This is the real question... and I am happy too that this year QMUL view a rise in its application of 30%... because in this period of downturn people has understand that the name of an institution or its position in a ranking table is not essential... makes no difference....the real difference is if an university join the Russel Group that is the same as Ivy League in America... everything else is secondary..

To AfricanAttorney: Hi!! Welcome!!
Relating to QMUL accomodation you can decide if you want to live in the College at Mile End or to an intercollege accomodation which is not at Mile End but near the Center for Commercial Law Studies. It depends on your necessities because I know that at intercollege accomodation you can also have dinner comprised in the accomodation fee.
May I ask you what specialization are you going to take?
I hope that my explanation would suit your enquiry. However, feel free to ask me whatever information you would like to ask for.

Thanks Roan...I guess I will weigh the options. However it is my desire to be amongst my peers for obvious reasons.
About the specialism, I am pursuing the International business law path.
Looking through the Course offerings, I am very impressed by the array of choices and I am drawn to the Taxation Law Module, Arbitration, Corporate Governance and Capital Market and Securities offering. Although my interest in those are not exclusive. I try to go through the offering almost daily, with a view to making up my mind semi-finally before my enrollment.
Also looking foward to the many lectures, seminars, events under the auspices of the CCLS and also extra-curricular activities.
Asides from the LLM program, I also intend to pursue the CIArb course, to at least, a membership certification level.

Thank you...
I have read that you would like to attend the CIArb... could you explain to me what it is... I have read that it is a center for arbitration law... This type of course is free? It seems to me very interesting...
