Hello everyone,
I' am in process applying the LLM programmes listed below:
- Southampton (Maritime Law)
- Swansea (International Commercial and Maritime Law)
- QMUL (International Shipping Law)
- City University London (Maritime Law)
Can any of you suggest me that Which one would be the best choice in order to reach P&I Clubs (or able to do internship in P&I Clubs) ?
In other words,Living in London is the most important thing to reach p&I clubs or we have to be educated in maritime schools such as swansea or southampton?
I think this subject will help those who want to be a maritime lawyer and seek the client for it.

Hi I was in the same position a couple of years ago and I am glad i made the right choice by going to Swansea. Teaching was superb, lecturers were very approachable and also they have good links with law firms and P&I clubs. They organise a big Careers Fair where P&I Clubs come. check the Postgraduate Legal Studies website on Employability. LLM students have been offered internships which have led to permanent jobs.I have actually been one of the LLM students who had immensly benefited from Swansea links and have a very good job in a P&I Club. P&I clubs do value Swansea's education as Swansea LLM graduat are very well prepared to work in the shipping sector.

Hi both
I completely agree with Maria's sentiments. Swansea llm is value for money and most significantly well known in legal practice and in the market.
All the best

hi kosta
Many thanks again to both of you for your kind helps.
Also I made an extensive investigation about this. So now I've almost decided and the results is, it seems to be Swansea as your recommendations. Not southampton or the others.
I hope to meet you in UK. It would be great for me.
With best wishes.
